Our mission at Phasecraft is to shorten the timeline to practical quantum advantage. Our crack team of scientists and engineers continues to push the boundaries of algorithmic innovation, working to solve previously impossible computational challenges.

Following our Series B fundraise last year, we are doubling down on turning these R&D breakthroughs into building and providing real-world solutions for end users for industries such as materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and financial services.

Building the very best commercial team to meet this ambition is a priority. As we continue our next step of thoughtful growth, we’ve brought Spencer Purdy on board, based in the U.S. as Vice President of Business Development to help lead this charge.

Spencer brings extensive experience in the deep tech space, partnering closely with scientists, engineers, and technology teams on cutting-edge research and development initiatives. He joins from Uncountable, where he worked at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and materials science, helping enterprise R&D teams implement robust data structures and accelerate product development life cycles. Before that, he was at Instrumental, partnering with R&D hardware engineering teams across the consumer, industrial, and mission-critical electronics sectors, driving efficiency in development and mass production.

Spencer's background positions him perfectly to support our existing collaborators and build new relationships. In his previous roles, he was an early commercial leader, successfully launching new products and establishing strategic customer engagements across North America, EMEA, and APAC. This expertise will be crucial in ensuring the world's most innovative companies are prepared for quantum advantage.

Ashley Montanaro, co-founder and CEO of Phasecraft, said: "Spencer brings exactly the kind of experience we need as we continue to scale our transatlantic growth. When we started Phasecraft, we knew that getting our work into the hands of industry was key and finding someone who truly bridges commercial and technical is rare. Spencer has a strong track record of building momentum in some of the most demanding deep-tech environments. As we scale our industrial partnerships and expand our US presence, having someone of Spencer's caliber leading that effort is an asset."

Spencer Purdy, VP of Business Development, said: "Quantum is at an inflection point, and Phasecraft is doing some of the most serious work in the field right now. Whether that's simulating materials, optimizing energy networks or drug development, these are global problems that matter, and unlocking this potential for industry is what will define the next chapter of both the tech and society. I'm excited to join a world-leader and continue building the commercial relationships that make this mission possible."
