Phasecraft and University of Bristol announce new PhD studentship

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to study towards a PhD on "Error-mitigated near-term quantum algorithms" with us. The successful candidate will be registered at the School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol, and will be based with our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing quantum algorithms start-up based in London and Bristol whose main goal is to deliver quantum computing solutions to real world problems in the near-term. The successful candidate will join a team of scientists and engineers based our Bristol office, whilst also being part of the dynamic cohort of the School of Mathematics’ PhD researchers at the University of Bristol.

The project will design and build quantum algorithms and error-mitigation techniques for near-term quantum computers, building on recent results by the our team (including efficient quantum algorithms for Hamiltonian simulation, materials modelling, finding low-energy states of quantum systems, and error mitigation schemes).

The deadline for applying is 31st January 2024, and more information is available at https://www.bristol.ac.uk/maths/postgraduate/phd/mathematics/phd-projects/

This opportunity is open to UK, EU, and international applicants.
